Sales Representative – Heavy Equipment
 
Our client is seeking a professional Sales Representative based out of their Red Deer branch. Reporting to the Operations GM, the Sales Representative will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Sales of New Construction equipment
    • Collaborating with the Operations Manager to set quotas, implement sales action plans, and monitor economic trends and new product development.
    • Preparing sales presentations, contracts and proposals (i.e. proactive equipment replacement proposals).
    • Achieve the annual gross margin objective set for the assigned territory.
 
  • Establishing and building strong customer relationships that allow for new, continual and ongoing representation reinforced by sales programs and communications to other relevant company functions/divisions.
    • direct sales activities with existing customers and new prospects    
    • Acting as a focal point for communication between customer and our client.
    • Communication with internal departments
    • Assisting customers in implementing ideas for reducing equipment costs
    • Keep current on product knowledge and benefits of specific machines.
 
Critical Capabilities Needed for Success:
 
  • A strong sales orientation is required with preference given to 4+ years experience within the construction/industrial industry.
  • The ability to operate in a diverse environment with a significant focus on client and customer relations.
  • The ability to make intelligent decisions under pressure.
  • Past sales training an asset.
  • Results driven - Desire to succeed and work independently
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Energetic self starter.
  • Creative. Understanding opportunity and challenges and working with the customer.
  • Ability to understand product features and benefits, product manufacturing and product in field application.
